OKC Clinical Hypnotherapy

"As a Behavioral Health and Relationship Coach for more than four years, I saw amazing transformations in the lives of so many people. These folks were ready for changes in their lives and their thinking, and did what was required of them to improve their quality of life.

However, some clients had underlying issues that blocked them from the lives they truly wanted. After some research, I felt strongly that hypnotherapy would be the best modality to add to my practice.

After training through the prestigious Hypnotherapy Academy of America (offering the  most in-depth training available internationally), I returned to Oklahoma City with new and exciting ways to help and support the people (my people) of Oklahoma City. Hypnotherapy can be used as a stand-alone support, or can be added as adjunct care with existing treatment.

Almost daily I receive feedback from my clients sharing how the use of hypnotherapy and daily self-hypnosis is creating breakthroughs and adding clarity to their lives. Each session can be a catalyst for change and improvement for the lives of so many. I encourage you to reach out to me and learn more about hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis and learn how I can help you help yourself."

Learn More About Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnotherapy and how does it work?

Hypnotherapy works by connecting our conscious minds to our subconscious minds. With the guidance of a hypnotherapist an individual has access the subconscious mind -- where we store every experience, emotion, and thought.  In this relaxed, hyper-focused state of hypnosis a client can search their subconscious and find emotions, feelings and root of our challenges.

For those of you who are thinking or even saying, "But, what if I want those memories to stay buried?" or "I might blurt something out that could embarrass me!" Rest assured, your subconscious will only bring up memories you want to bring up or that will help you.

Because hypnotherapy provides immediate access to the subconscious mind, many therapist find hypnotherapy to be more efficient than traditional therapy techniques.

What the Experts Are Saying About Hypnotherapy

The American Psychological Association concludes, “Although hypnosis has been controversial, most clinicians now agree it can be a powerful, effective therapeutic technique for a wide range of conditions, including pain, anxiety and mood disorders.”

The British Psychological Society commissioned a working group to survey the evidence and write a formal report on hypnotherapy in 2001. They found, “Enough studies have now accumulated to suggest that the inclusion of hypnotic procedures may be beneficial in the management and treatment of a wide range of conditions and problems encountered in the practice of medicine, psychiatry and psychotherapy.”

Cutting-edge brain imaging technology now gives us a window into the physical manifestations of hypnotherapy. When they scanned the brains of 57 individuals undergoing hypnosis, Stanford researchers reported that sections of the brain associated with insight and change showed “altered activity and connectivity.”

You Practice Trance States Every Day!

If customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to Most of us have heard of or have see hypnosis in some form. Unfortunately, most are exposed to the Hollywood version. Hypnosis is the act of guiding someone into a trance state and can be defined as:

  • A deep state of relaxation
  • Focused concentration
  • Increased suggestibility

What many may not realize is most of us go in and out of trance state several times a day. Think of zoning out during a meeting or during your drive home. Perhaps you've felt like the world melted away while listening to your favorite song or found yourself deeply immersed in the world of a book or movie. If you've done any of that, you have been in a trance state.  The only difference between an everyday trance state and hypnosis is that hypnosis is induced to achieve a goal such as healing, discovery, enlightenment or anxiety reduction.
